Massage Therapy

Our massage therapists are Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs), and are licensed through the Massage Therapists’ Association of BC. They are trained in the assessment and diagnosis of soft tissue and joints of the body, and the treatment and prevention of injury, pain and physical disorders.

RMTs are effective in treating and providing relief for a wide range of conditions such as migraine headaches, tendonitis, arthritis, osteoporosis, fibromyalgia, sports injuries, as well as many other common conditions related to soft tissue and joint dysfunction.

In addition to hands-on massage treatment, our RMTs are trained in rehabilitative exercise such as hydrotherapy, stretching, strengthening, and postural exercises.

Your massage therapist will begin by asking you questions about your pain and dysfunction and will perform an assessment to determine the nature and extent of your injuries. Once the appropriate muscles and joints are assessed, treatment will begin as indicated. RMTs are trained to perform several types of massage, ranging from gentle to deep tissue massage as well as sports massage.

Following your treatment, your massage therapist will also advise you on specific exercises and stretches to optimize your recovery, and will recommend the use of heat or ice for your condition.
